How To Edit Product Pages [Legacy]
Solodrop theme includes 6 product templates that can be individually edited and customized. This gives you the ability to have up to 6 focus products on your site with unique and custom content on your product pages.
Setting Up The Templates
In order to take advantage of these templates, you'll first need to ensure your products are created in Shopify. Also, the Solodrop theme will need to be the published theme in order to access these templates. Once those are complete, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to your product in the Shopify admin.
- On the bottom right side of the page, you'll see an area that says "Theme templates". Here, you can select a new template for your product.
If more than one product is using the same product template, then all content edited in the customizer for this product template will be shared. When using Solodrop, it is best to use one template per product.
In the even that your store has more than six products, assign all of the non-focus and general products to the same template. Remember - products that use the same template will share the content, so use the custom templates in a way that makes sense for your products. - Once you've assigned the templates, navigate to the theme customizer by visiting Online store, then Themes.
- In the theme customizer, visit your product page. You can either navigate to this via your navigation or selecting Product pages in the customizer nav bar.
Important: When editing a product page, it is important to know that you need navigate to the exact product (or a product using your desired template) that you'd like to edit in the customizer. Take note of which templates are shared with other products, if at all.
Customizing Product Pages
There are 3 main sections for the product page that you'll see on the left-side toolbar in the customizer. They are Product Details, Product Overview and Product Sections:

This is the entire top right area on your product template (to the right of the product images).
Product Overview
This section is just below the product top area and shows the product description and additional features.
Product Sections
This is the bottom content sections on your product page. This area allows you to add, edit, and re-order sections similar to as you would on the home page.
